What you will accomplish
Enable Rapid Trigger on one test key, retain its assigned action, and verify its press and reset behavior before saving the configuration.

Use this guide only when DarkBeacon AI displays Rapid Trigger controls for the connected keyboard, selected key, current firmware, and active layer. Configure the keyboard through a direct USB connection.
Before you begin

Complete key-travel calibration if DarkBeacon AI requests it or the key travel appears inconsistent.

Confirm that the normal actuation point is stable.

Select a harmless movement key for the first test.

Save any unfinished profile changes before continuing.
Steps

Open the connected keyboard in DarkBeacon AI and select Rapid Trigger.

Select one harmless test key, then enable Rapid Trigger for that key.

Begin with the unified Sensitivity control. If separate Press Sensitivity and Release Sensitivity controls are displayed, keep both values equal for the first test.

Leave Continuous Rapid Trigger disabled initially.

Test the key with a slow press, a quick press, a partial release, a full release, and light resting contact.

Change only one sensitivity value at a time and use small adjustments. Reverse the latest change if you notice input chatter, unintended repeats, or an early reset.

Enable Continuous Rapid Trigger only if DarkBeacon AI displays the option and its on-screen description matches the behavior you want. Repeat the same test sequence.

Verify Rapid Trigger by itself before combining it with another advanced key behavior. The key’s assigned action should remain unchanged; only its press and reset response should change.

Test the key when changing layers. Before pressing it on the destination layer, release it below its activation point.

Select Save to keyboard, or the equivalent save action displayed by your version of DarkBeacon AI. Wait for an explicit success confirmation.

Reconnect the keyboard once, then repeat the slow-press, full-release, and layer tests.
Confirm success
The assigned action remains unchanged, the key activates and resets predictably at different speeds, and no chatter, stuck input, or unintended repetition remains after reconnecting.
Save the result
A configuration can take effect as a live preview before it is stored permanently. Confirm that DarkBeacon AI reports a successful device save, then reconnect the keyboard once to verify that the setting was retained.
Limits and cautions
Very small movement distances reduce tolerance for natural finger movement and calibration variation. Do not copy competitive settings without testing them with your keyboard, key, application, and applicable game rules.
Recovery
Disable Rapid Trigger for the affected key or restore its previous stable sensitivity values.
If ordinary input is also inconsistent, restore a moderate actuation point and complete key-travel calibration before testing again. A factory reset should not be the first response.
